How We Blend Function & Style for a Beautifully Organized Home

Tip #1: Choose Organizing Solutions That Feel Chic & Cohesive

Utilize organizing products that are neutral and give a clean, sophisticated feel. My team and I will always navigate toward products that are either clear, such as acrylic bins, or natural neutrals. Colors of choice would be white, grey, or black. We want your spaces to feel clean and simple so that your items are concealed but ultimately easy to locate within the simple choices. You want to feel good about the aesthetic each time you open a drawer or cabinet, not like you robbed a candy store, but more like you walked into a curated gift shop.

Tip #2: Add Texture for a Luxe, Layered Look

If possible, try to use products with texture such as wicker, hyacinth, bamboo, or canvas. These materials will create a textured element and will also be very pleasing to the eye. Depending on the space, plastic may be the better choice. If using plastics, try to also use neutral colors and also a bin that has texture, such as a basket weave. Since the natural materials are a bit pricier, you can also mix and match to keep your cost lower.

Tip #3: Repurpose Meaningful Pieces for a Personal Touch 

Give your organization solutions a personal touch by repurposing some well-loved or antique items. Items such as your grandmother's cedar chest or a handmade cigar box can create a story to be told while stowing away some special items. The trick is just remembering what is inside. Some inconspicuous labeling on the side or back can help trigger your memory as to what you tucked away.

Tip #4: Disguise Everyday Essentials in a Stylish Way 

Oftentimes, we have everyday essentials that need to be accessible but just don't look pretty on the countertop or in clear sight. Investing in a pretty lidded box for your daily skincare and go-to makeup is a good way to have those items at your fingertips and still feel like you are away on vacation. It's always a good idea to tuck these items in available drawers with dividers and trays to keep them out of sight but easy to get to.
